Né à Belgrade en 1977. Diplômé en cinéma et télévision de la Faculté des Arts Dramatiques de Belgrade, où il enseigne actuellement la réalisation de films. Pour ses courts métrages, en particulier (A) Torsion (2003), il a remporté plus de 30 prix, dont Ours d’Or à Berlinale, the European Film Award et la nomination aux Oscars pour le court métrage. Il a fait partie d’e l’omnibus international Lost and Found (2005), avec l’épisode Fabulous Vera. Son premier long métrage, Love and Other Crimes (2008), a été présenté à la Berlinale en 2008 et a remporté plusieurs prix dans les festivals internationaux. Depuis 2015, il est responsable du projet FIRST FILMS FIRST, le programme de formation professionnelle destiné aux réalisateurs de films de l’Europe de Sud-Est de l’Institut Goethe. Il est cofondateur de la société de production Art & Popcorn, basée à Belgrade.

Born in Belgrade in 1977. Graduated Film and Television Directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he now teaches film directing at the Master studies. For his short films, in particular (A)Torsion (2003), he won over 30 national and international awards, including Golden Bear at Berlinale, the European Film Award and Academy Award (Oscar) nomination for short live action film. He was part of an international omnibus film Lost and Found (2005), with episode Fabulous Vera. His first feature Love and Other Crimes (2008) premiered at Berlinale in 2008 and won several awards at the international festivals. Since 2015, he is a program manager of FIRST FILMS FIRST, Goethe Institute’s professional training program for Southeast European film directors. He is a co-founder of the Belgrade-based production company Art & Popcorn.
