Massimiliano Nardulli
MASSIMILIANO NARDULLI was born in Rome in 1976. After obtaining a degree in Arts and Humanities, he specialized in cinematography. Since 2007 he has worked as artistic director, consultant and short film programmer at several festivals, including the Festival Européen du film court de Brest, (2008-2015), Arcipelago, (2008-2017), Biarritz Amérique Latine (2014-present), Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (2015-2017), Timishort, (2014-2018), NexT (2016-2018), ShorTS (2021-present). Massimiliano is one of the creators of TSFM (Torino Short Film Market), TGF (Talents Generator Factory) and is the artistic director of LIM (Less is More). He has worked as a screenwriter and script advisor for several international projects and co-created the script development workshops Word-Frame, What’s The Story? and Fulgor Lab. In 2019 he won the Gopo and UCIN awards as a composer for the original music of the film Charleston. Since 2022 he has been teaching low-budget scriptwriting at UNATC in Bucharest.

Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten

Marietta is a Swedish screenwriter for film and TV, and an international script consultant whose work over the last 14 years includes Sundance Labs, Torino Film Lab, Binger (Amsterdam), Biennale College Venice, Feature Expanded (Manchester, Florens), Hezaya (Doha), Tiff Studio Toronto FF, Cinelink Drama Sarajevo, Bridging the Dragon, Talent Campus, Midpoint, Fly Film lab (Philippines, Korea), Locarno open doors and Myanmar Script Fund. She has also done script development in China, Mongolia, Nepal and with Pakistan. She’s been in international juries, such as CPH Dox (Denmark)and San Miguel (Mexico) main competition.
Marietta studied Film and TV at Tisch School of Arts NYC and is a voting member of the European film Academy and member of the Swedish Screen Writers Guild. She works extensively with development and writing of TV-series. The films Marietta has consulted on have competed in film festivals all around the world – such as The Babadook, Nancy, Hunting Season, H, Diamond island, The Fits, Le Quattro Volte, Too late to die young, Children of Sarajevo, The Heiresses, Jesus, The Load, Mediterranea, Sole, Litigante, Pari, Costa Brava Lebanon, Family Time and others. Her feature film Call Girl (written, co-produced) won the Fipresci award in Toronto, competed and won in places like Torino, Palm Springs, Stockholm, Buenos Aires, and Taipei.
More recently she’s been in Writer’s Rooms with writers like Adam Price (creator of Borgen) and has written for the Netflix series Ragnarok. Together with Anthea Devotta she founded the Write Retreat, the right place to write.
Gabriela Iacob
Gabriela Iacob is a script doctor at her storytelling studio Storyliners. She studied film directing at Media University in Bucharest. Having worked on a variety of screenplays as Head of Development for a studio company, then for an independent one, she is experienced in all stages of the development pipeline from creation, pitching, pre-production to post-production. She is currently Head of Scripted Content Development at Pro TV, sits on the selection committee at Cinema Pendent L’Alternativa Barcelona and is overseeing this new Mentoring Projects programme at Alternativa Pro Barcelona.

Cristian Mungiu

Cristian Mungiu is one of the best known Romanian filmmakers in the world, his films having been presented and appreciated in the most important film festivals in the world and subsequently distributed in many territories. He has won countless awards, both as a director and as a screenwriter, the most notable of which are: the Palme d’Or at Cannes for 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days in 2007, the award for the Best Screenplay in 2012 at Cannes for Beyond the Hills or the award for Best Director at Cannes for Graduation in 2016. He is the initiator of Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest, which this year reaches its 14th edition, the American Independent Film Festival .7 and many film-related projects, including the Write a Screenplay For…
