Three men, three eras: 1932, 1937 and 2017. Their lives are bound together by desire and sexuality, by pain and inheritance, and by one of Federico García Lorca’s last plays, left unfinished. Moving through silence, repression and war, the film spans nearly a century of Spanish history and asks what we do with our past and with the traces that history and art leave behind.
