On March 29, at 10 AM, tickets for another special event with the acotor on April 28, will be available for purchase

Huge interest for the meeting with Sebastian Stan, the actor with Romanian origins: the tickets for the screening of “I, Tonya” on April 27 have been sold out in 24 hours. The actor sent a special message for the Romanias, expressing his eagerness to meet with the public of the festival: ”Come and see my latest film “ I, Tonya”… and since I’m returning home after 13 years, I wish you could stay after the screening, if you feel like it, and talk a little bit more”.

The good news for the fans is that they will have two other occasions to meet with the actor and to see his latest film: on April 28, in a special event, and on April 30, at a screening which will be introduced by the actor.

On the April 28, at Cinema PRO, starting 6PM, as part of a charity event, there will be a screening of I Tonya followed by an Open Talk with Sebastian Star and a surprise guest and ending with a Q&A with the audience. The proceeds will be donated to the volunteering program Our Big Day Out, initiated in 2005, that helps institutionalized children, elders living in housing homes or other medical and social institutions and families living in extrem poverty or marginalized communities. This is a charity cause supported by Sebastian Stan in Romania. Tickets to this special event will be available on eventbook.ro. starting Thursday, 29th of March, at 10AM and will have a special price of 100 lei.

The third meeting will take place on the 30th of April, at 8:30PM at Cinema PRO. Sebastian Stan will attend the beginning of the screening, introduction the film for the audience. Tickets are available on eventbook.ro.

The first edition of the American Independent Film Festival took place in September 2017, having Ethan Hawke, Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly as special guests. Director Barry Jenkins, who won an Oscar for Best Film in 2017 opened the festival with a Q&A via Skype, after the screening of the movie Moonlight.

Based on the tradition of great American narrative films, the festival presents a selection of the latest independent productions, awarded and featured in major North American festivals such as Sundance, New York, Tribeca or Telluride. The second edition of the American Independent Film Festival takes place from April 27 to May 3rd, 2018 at Cinema PRO and the Cinema Muzeul Taranului, Bucharest.

The first tickets available include the Romanian big screen premiere of the latest production signed by Woody Allen, “Wonder Wheel”, a comedy starring Justin Timberlake, Kate Winslet and Juno Temple (the screening is scheduled on April 29, 8;30 pm at CinemaPRO) and “Lucky” by John Carroll Lynch, a love letter dedicated to Harry Dean Staton’s life and career (“Paris, Texas”, 1984), featuring the reputed film director David Lynch (the screening is scheduled on April 28, 8:30 pm at Cinema Muzeul Taranului).
