MANAGING TALENTS @ LES FILMS DE CANNES À TIMIȘOARA

Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest and Les Films de Cannes à Timișoara are bringing exceptional opportunities to Romanian professional and amateur actors through the Managing Talents program, which returns this fall with two special editions. The Bucharest program offers actors the chance to compete for leading roles in a Romanian film directed by Daniel Sandu, to be produced in 2026.

Managing Talents is dedicated to supporting and developing the acting community in Romania, and this year it comes with two unique editions: one within Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest and another within Les Films de Cannes à Timișoara. Actors selected within the Bucharest program will have the opportunity to compete for leading roles in a feature film by director Daniel Sandu, known for the films “Un pas în urma serafimilor” and “Tata mută munții”.

For the Timișoara edition, registrations can be made here. The event will take place on October 26th from 12:00 to 16:00 at Cinema Studio, Timișoara.

This year, in this short and intense acting workshop, participants will focus on creating and filming their own cinematic showreel.

After registration, short scenes will be assigned, each specifically written to allow each artist to showcase a range of skills and emotional performances. At the end of the workshop (on the same day), each participant will receive a download link to the “ready-to-use” video footage, suitable for uploading to professional platforms such as Filmmakers or for personal use on social media.

The total number of participants will determine whether each person will film one, two or three different scenes. Priority will be given to those who register early and come with their lines already learned.
