A story oscillating between Lucian’s family and his surf passion, WAVES ON DRY SOIL builds a complex portrait of a young Moldavian surfer who dreams about getting to the Olympics. Having fun in Ecuador while teaching surf lessons, visiting his grandparents from Moldova during his trip to the Moldavian Olympic Committee and then arriving to his current life in Portugal with his friends and family, the story depicts a sweet-sour reality of Lucian’s life.
