About Film Speed-Dating 2020
For the 11th edition of Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest, the festival has organised FILM SPEED-DATING, an event which offers scriptwriters, directors and Romanian film producers to meet and match in order to develop film projects together.
Who is the event for and who can apply for Film Speed-Dating?
The call for projects addresses undergrad, masters and graduated students of a film school or university, who have a script in development. Applicants must have a draft of the script or a treatment of max 5 pages created for a feature-length film.
Following the call for projects, those selected will be contacted and will be invited to present their project publicly in a pitching session attended by producers, directors and other industry professionals.
How will Film Speed-Dating take place?
Selected participants will receive, on October 28th, a short presentation entitled “How to Pitch,” in order to help in showing how to construct the pitch presentation.
During the pitch sessions, each participant will have 7 minutes in order to present their proiect. The pitch can integrate visual elements – the deadline for this being October 25th.
The pitch session will be followed by a networking event.
Given our aim to maintain a safe space for all those attending the pitches, the sessions will be organized respecting all health and safety norms generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
