Nicolas Livecchi is a development officer at Why Not Productions, France. Holder of a Doctorate of Cinema, he devoted most of his academic work to the work of Steven Spielberg and his influence on contemporary cinema.
He is the author of the reference book “The Child actor: from François Truffaut to Steven Spielberg and Jacques Doillon”, published in 2012.
Nicolas Livecchi was a production assistant on the movies of Arnaud Desplechin and Jacques Audiard and studio Ghibli’s animated feature Red Turtle. His first short film Richard Weird Eyes won the Prize of the Young audience of the Film Festival of Stains in 2011 and was selected in the festivals of Villeurbanne, Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux and Kiev. He also directed the short Lettre d’un père à sa fille (2013) and he is working on his first feature film.
