A baby boy is born in the 1920s Italy. Soon his father becomes jealous on the newborn, as the little one is everything his wife can think of. The setting then changes to ancient times, when little Oedipus, abandoned by the king of Thebes, Laius, and his wife, Jocasta, is now raised by the king of Corinth, Polybus. Haunted by a dream, Oedipus goes to the temple of Apollo to consult the oracle, learning about the terrible future the fate has in store for him…
