There are certain places in Europe which evoke a painful memory of the past. Factories, specialized in processing human flesh into ashes. Nowadays, on the former sites of such „factories“ one can find memorials, open tot he public and visited by thousands of tourists. The title of the film refers to W.G. Zebald’s novel which deals with the memory of Holocaust. The film is an observation of the visitors of a memorial, located on a site of a former concentration camp. What are they doing here? What are they looking for?
