For the last 14 years we have been screening in first audition in Bucharest and around the country, the most awaited films of the year, straight from Cannes, the most prestigious film festival\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0world.<\/b><\/p>\n

Between October 20 and 29, the 14th edition of the Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest festival presents the most anticipated films from the Cannes Film Festival selection, with screenings and special guests at the Elvire Popesco Cinema, the Peasant Museum Cinema, Cinematheque Eforie and Union Cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year the festival also brings premieres, award-winning films, Romanian previews, meetings with filmmakers, masterclasses, retrospectives and professional events, in the fall, in the capital and in other cities in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest was initiated in 2010 by filmmaker Cristian Mungiu, with the support of the General Delegate of the Cannes Festival, Mr. Thierry Fr\u00e9maux.<\/span><\/p>\n
