Sessions and in 2016 &#8220;Dublu&#8221; had its international premiere at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the East of the West &#8211; Competition. &#8220;Dublu&#8221; circulated in several film festivals both in the country and abroad, it had three nominations at the Gopo Awards Gala (Best Debut Film, Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role), a nomination at the UCIN Awards Gala \u2013 Opera Prima Debut Award &#8220;Alexandru Tatos&#8221; and was distributed by both Romanian and foreign TV stations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2017 Catrinel won the award Nevertheless, she succeeded in obtaining a master\u2019s degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art \u00a0in London, after having graduated from a term at New York University &#8211; Tisch and a BA at the National University of Theatre and Film of Romania. Alina pioneered Roma feminist political theatre in Romania. For the past 14 years, Alina has been using film and theatre against all forms of discrimination in order to create and claim space for untold, marginalized stories. She is the supporting role in the Macedonian film \u201c<em>Housekeeping for beginners\u201d<\/em>, which won an award at Venice Film Festival (2023), it is Macedonia\u2019s choice for the Oscars and it is also nominated for European Film Awards. She received four times the Best Actress Award \u00een Germany for her leading role in \u201c<em>Gipsy Queen\u201d<\/em>, 2020 and a nomination for the German Film Academy Awards (LOLA), 2019. In 2018, Alina represented Romania at\u00a0 Cannes International Film Festival.
