For 10 days, viewers were able to watch over 80 films, most of them for the first time, in cinemas, outdoors, but also online, on Orange TV Go. <em>It was an edition with many changes, prompted by the current situation, but we are glad to see that cinema keeps its importance in people&#8217;s lives, especially in a changing period, in which streaming platforms are gaining more ground<\/em>, said the festival team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the closing gala of the festival that took place at the Peasant Museum Cinema, the awards of the 12th edition were announced. Like always, the feature films screened in the <strong>Autumn<\/strong> <strong>Previews<\/strong> section are eligible for the Audience Award, consisting of a distribution support oferred by Dacin Sara. The winers of the award worth 2,500 euros is <strong><em>Immaculate<\/em><\/strong> directed by Monica Stan and George Chiper-Lillermark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the projects produced or co-produced in Romania entered in the 6th edition of <strong>Works in Progress (WiP)<\/strong>, the international jury composed by Marcin \u0141uczaj (sales agent, New Europe Film Sales) and Paolo Bertolin (programmer \u2013 Venice Film International Festival) chose the winners of the two awards as follows: <strong><em>Anhell 69<\/em><\/strong>, the feature film project signed by Theo Montoya, won the post-production award offered by Avanpost, and <strong><em>Between Revolutions<\/em><\/strong>, the documentary signed by Vlad Petri, the post-production award offered by Multimedia Est.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During yesterday&#8217;s gala, the winners of the 3rd edition of the <strong>Write a Screenplay For\u2026,<\/strong> the script contest organized by Cinemascop Association with the support of HBO Europe at the American Independent Film Festival (AIFF) were also announced. After the first editions asked screenwriters to write for Sebastian Stan, Anamaria Marinca or Vlad Ivanov, this year WSF invited filmmakers and writers to propose ideas and stories for young audiences, the so-called Generation Z.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maria Orban &#8211; Award for Best Screenplay for <strong><em>Limited Exposure Time<\/em><\/strong> and Doru Vatavului &#8211; Award for Best Screenplay for a Mini-TV Series for <strong><em>Me and You against the Rest<\/em><\/strong> were the two winners announced by Ioanina Pavel &#8211; Producer HBO Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 12th edition of the festival brought back the collaboration with the one-minute film festival. During <strong><em>Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest<\/em><\/strong>, before the film screenings, but also online on Orange TV Go, viewers were able to enjoy one-minute films from around the world, films that are part of the Filminute Film Festival 2021 selection. Like previous years, the public was invited to vote for their favorite film, this time online on filmedefestival.ro, and a jury composed of Ana Dumitra\u0219cu, Lucia Chico\u0219 and Bogdan Balla, awarded the Jury Prize to directors Nicolas Bianco-Levrin and Julie Rembauville for <strong><em>Beware the Wolf<\/em><\/strong>. The Audience Award was won by <strong><em>Autumn<\/em><\/strong> directed by Jean-Marie Villeneuve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During last night&#8217;s gala, the winners of the competition organized by Renault Romania on the occasion of the 12th edition of <strong><em>Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest<\/em><\/strong> were also announced. Thus, the grand prize (consisting of an iPhone 13 and a weekend with the new Renault ARKANA) was awarded to Daniel Popa and the special prize (a three-month pass to Cinema Elvire Popesco) to Adrian Ianculescu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ten days of the festival brought the public from Bucharest, but also to the national one (through the online programme and the regional editions), the latest films from Cannes and from other important festivals of the world, most of them for the first time in Romania.
