About the festival

Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest will celebrate its 10^th edition between October 18^th and 27^th, presenting the most awaited films from the Cannes Film Festival, with screenings and special guests, at Cinema PRO, Cinema Elvira Popesco, Cinema Muzeul Țăranului and other venues in Bucharest.

Films awarded and selected in Cannes 2019, Romanian previews, meetings with film directors, masterclasses, retrospectives, professional events, parties and special events, are part of this year’s edition, in Bucharest and in other cities in Romania.

Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest was initiated in 2010 by director Cristian Mungiu with the support of the General Delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, Thierry Frémaux.
