Zsófia Szilágyi

Author/director Zsófia Szilágyi graduated as a Hungarian grammar and literature teacher at the University of Pécs in 2002. She continued her education as a film and tv director at the Academy of Film and Drama of Budapest from 2002 to 2007. During her studies she participated in a scholarship by Leonardo Da Vinci Programme and studied production at Mediopolis Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH, Berlin in 2006. In the same year she took apart in Heimat, Europa?, an audiovisual project by the organisation of Kolleg für Menagement und Gestaltung nachaltiger Entwicklung GmbH where she was a scriptwriter and camera assistant. In 2011 she won the Scholarship of Goethe Institute in Hamburg.

She worked as assitant lecturer to Golden Bear winner and Oscar nominated director, Ildikó Enyedi at the Hungarian Academy of Film and Theatre between 2007 and 2009. In 2012 she directed Impasse (Ha birsz), a documentary supported by European Integration Fund.

One Day is her debut feature.

Zsófia Szilágyi

Auteur/réalisatrice, Zsófia Szilágyi a obtenu son diplôme de professeur de grammaire et de littérature hongroise à l’Université de Pécs en 2002. Elle a poursuivi ses études en tant que réalisatrice de cinéma et de télévision à l’Académie du film et du théâtre de Budapest de 2002 à 2007. Pendant  les études elle a participé à une bourse du programme Leonardo Da Vinci et a étudié la production à la Mediopolis Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH de Berlin en 2006. La même année, elle a participé au projet audiovisuel «Heimat, Europa?», où elle était scénariste et assistante caméra. En 2011, elle a remporté la bourse d’études du Goethe Institute à Hambourg.

Elle a travaillé comme assistante auprès de Ildikó Enyedi à l’Académie hongroise du film et du théâtre entre 2007 et 2009, en tant que chargée de cours pour la réalisatrice nominée aux Oscars et primé avec l’Ours d’Or à Berlin. En 2012, elle a dirigé Impasse (Ha birsz), un documentaire soutenu par le Fonds européen pour l’intégration. Un Jour est son premier long métrage.

Zsófia Szilágyi

Zsófia Szilágyi a absolvit studiile de limbă și literatură maghiară la Universitatea din Pécs, în 2002, pregătindu-se să devină profesoară. A continuat însă să studieze la Academia de Teatru și Film din Budapesta, până în 2007. În această perioadă, ca bursieră a programului Leonardo da Vinci, s-a alăturat echipei de producție a Mediopolis Film und Fernsehproduktion GmbH din Berlin. În același an, 2006, a contribuit, ca scenaristă și asistentă de cameră, la proiectul audiovizual Heimat, Europa?. În 2011, a câștigat o bursă din partea Goethe Institut în Hamburg.

După absolvire, a fost lector universitar, asistentă a regizoarei Ildikó Enyedi, premiată cu Ursul de Aur și Oscar pentru On Body and Soul, la Academia de Teatru și Film. A regizat în 2012 Impasse, un documentar finanțat prin European Integration Fund. One Day este debutul ei în lungmetraj de ficțiune.
