A selection of films awarded at the Cannes Film Festival and their guests will travel to Timi\u0219oara, Arad, Cluj, Ia\u0219i, Bra\u0219ov, Oradea and Suceava.<\/p>\n<p>Local editions will begin simultaneously with the festival in Bucharest, starting with <strong>Timi\u0219oara <\/strong>and <strong>Arad<\/strong>, which will take place between the <strong>19th and 21st of October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timi\u0219oara<\/strong> will be hosting the third edition of the festival with screenings happening from Friday to Sunday at <strong>Aula Magna of the West University<\/strong>. The festival is organized with the support of the Timi\u015foara City Hall and the West University.<\/p>\n<p><em>Les Films de Cannes<\/em> will be continuing in <strong>Arad<\/strong>, which held its first edition in 2017. The festival will be held at <strong>Cinema Arta<\/strong> once again, between <strong>October 19th and 21st<\/strong>. The event is organized by the Cinemascop Association in partnership with the Municipal Cultural Center of Arad and the CitiZenit Association.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of the Bucharest edition, <em>Les Films de Cannes<\/em> will head to <strong>Cluj<\/strong> for the third time, where films will be shown at <strong>Cinema Victoria<\/strong> between <strong>October 26th and 28th<\/strong>, with the support of the Local Council and City Hall of Cluj-Napoca.<\/p>\n<p>Between <strong>October 26th and 28th<\/strong>, the festival will also be playing <strong>Ia\u0219i<\/strong>, at <strong>Cinema Ateneu,<\/strong> for the third time. This initiative is organized by the Ia\u015fi Municipal City Hall and the Ia\u0219i Athenium.<\/p>\n<p>November will bring about the second edition of <em>Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 <strong>Bra\u015fov<\/strong><\/em>, and will take place at the <strong>Reduta Cultural Center<\/strong> and <strong>Cinema One<\/strong>. The event is organized with the support of the County Council of Bra\u0219ov<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, <em>Les Films de Cannes<\/em> arrives in <strong>Oradea<\/strong>. The <strong>Regina Maria Theatre<\/strong> will host two days of screenings, on the <strong>3rd and 4th of November<\/strong>, generously organized in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and the Region (APTOR) and the Oradea Municipality.<\/p>\n<p>As with every year, <em>Les Films de Cannes<\/em> moves to <strong>Suceava <\/strong>in November, at the <strong>Municipal Theatre <em>Matei Vi\u0219niec<\/em><\/strong>. The third edition will take place between <strong>November 9th and 11th<\/strong>, organized by the AS Creative Association and the Cinemascop Association, in partnership with the Suceava Municipality and the Local Council of Suceava.<\/p>\n<p>Among the titles that cinephiles around the country will be able to rejoice in are: the moving <a href=\"https:\/\/filmedefestival.ro\/les-films-de-cannes\/editia-2018\/en\/shoplifters\/\"><strong><em>Shoplifters<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, by veteran Cannes attendee Hirokazu Kore-eda, winner of this year\u2019s <em>Palme d\u2019Or<\/em>; the noir fairytale <a href=\"https:\/\/filmedefestival.ro\/les-films-de-cannes\/editia-2018\/en\/border\/\"><strong><em>Border<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, by Ali Abassi, winner of the <em>Prize of Un Certain Regard<\/em>; <a href=\"https:\/\/filmedefestival.ro\/les-films-de-cannes\/editia-2018\/en\/burning\/\"><strong><em>Burning<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, adapted from a short story by Haruki Murakami and directed by Lee Chang-Dong, winner of the <em>FIPRESCI<\/em> prize;<a href=\"https:\/\/filmedefestival.ro\/les-films-de-cannes\/editia-2018\/en\/girl\/\"> <strong><em>Girl<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the <em>Cam\u00e9ra d\u2019Or<\/em> winning story of a ballerina, by Lukas Dhont, and <a href=\"https:\/\/filmedefestival.ro\/les-films-de-cannes\/editia-2018\/en\/dogman\/\"><strong><em>Dogman<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, by Matteo Garrone, the thriller that won the award for <em>Best Actor<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The program of the local editions and all information concerning tickets and entry will be announced on <strong>filmedefestival.ro<\/strong> and on the <strong>official Facebook page shortly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All films will be screened in Original Version, with Romanian subtitles.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest<\/strong> is presented by <strong>Orange Romania<\/strong>, a traditional partner of the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supported by:<\/strong> BRD \u2013 Groupe Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale<\/p>\n<p><strong>Official car of the festival:<\/strong> Renault<\/p>\n<p><strong>With the support of:<\/strong> Catena, Groupama Asigur\u0103ri, Silva, Apa Nova<\/p>\n<p>The ninth edition of the Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest is <strong>organized<\/strong> by the Cinemascop Association and Voodoo Films, <strong>in partnership with<\/strong> the Embassy of France and the French Institute in Bucharest.<\/p>\n<p>Les Films de Cannes \u00e0 Bucarest\u00a0is <strong>a cultural project financed by<\/strong> the National Center of Cinematography, with the support of SACD \/ Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques (Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers) and the Representation of the European Commission in Romania and DACIN SARA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partners: <\/strong>Air France, KLM, Romanian Cultural Institute, the Mexican Embassy in Romania, Hotel Mercure, UPS, Defi, SERVE.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Lucian Pintilie homage<\/strong> is organized in partnership between <em>Les Films de Cannes <\/em><em>\u00e0 <\/em><em>Bucarest <\/em>and the<em> National Theatre Festival<\/em>, in collaboration with Filmex Romania and the National Center of Cinematography, with the support of Funda\u021bia 9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seen by: <\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Radio Guerrilla<\/p>\n<p><strong>Media Partners: <\/strong>TVR, Radio Rom\u00e2nia Cultural, Adev\u0103rul, Dilema Veche, OK!
