Les films de Cannes <\/strong>\u00e0<\/strong> Bucarest<\/strong> is organizing the second edition of the Managing Talents<\/em><\/strong> event on October<\/strong> 21st, at 11:00, at Cinema Pro<\/strong>, continuing on the festival\u2019s path to support beginner or established actors, regardless of age, in their professional development. The objective of the meeting is to get as many Romanian actors as possible in contact with renowned casting directors from around the world.<\/p>\n

In 2016, casting directors and agents like Ilene Feldman or Avy Kaufman, who managed the careers of celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Colin Farrell, Terrence Malick, Angelina Jolie, Ang Lee, Robert Redford and Steven Spielberg, talked with actors and directors from Romania about the professionals who put them in the spotlight \u2013 the manager, the agent or the casting director. This year, Managing Talents<\/strong> brings to Bucharest some of the most active casting directors of the moment: Frank Moiselle<\/strong><\/a> (Ireland), Vicki Thomson<\/strong><\/a> (United Kingdom), Nathalie Cheron<\/strong><\/a> (France), Elizaveta Shmakova<\/strong><\/a> (Russia), Victor Jenkins<\/strong><\/a> (United Kingdom) and Richard Cook<\/strong><\/a> (Ireland).<\/p>\n

The workshop of October 21st<\/sup> 2017 is open both to established actors, regardless of age, and to those making their debut.<\/p>\n

The application form<\/strong>, the conditions of participation and more details are available on the site filmedefestival.ro by accessing this link<\/a>. The number of participants is limited \u2013 250 seats, and the participation fee is RON 100.<\/p>\n

Interested actors are invited to make a video recording<\/strong> (self-tape<\/em>) in English, French or Russian (of the text proposed on the event page<\/a>) and to create online access links<\/strong> to this self-tape<\/em> and to their file from the data base of the casting agency there are registered with \u2013 the file must contain recently taken pictures. They can opt to provide in the application online access links to a presentation video (reel<\/em>), as well as to film sequences wherein they played.<\/p>\n

The application period is September 27th<\/sup> \u2013 October 8th<\/sup><\/strong>. All participants enrolled in the workshop will be automatically registered in the database of the casting directors invited to Bucharest.<\/p>\n

The casting directors and organizers will watch the self-tapes<\/em> of those enrolled in the workshop and, on this basis, the casting directors will select a number of approximately 30 actors that will have the chance to personal meetings with them on the days of Friday October 20th<\/sup> and, respectively, Sunday October22nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n
