Jacques Audiard’s career began as Assistant Director to Roman Polanski in The Tenant, in 1976. 18 years later, he made Regarde les hommes tomber, a road-movie starring Mathieu Kassovitz and Jean-Louis Trintignant, his first feature length film which would unleash a body of work premiered and awarded in Cannes, at the César’s, BAFTAs and Lumière Awards. Since the 70s, he has written over 20 screenplays for film and TV, directed clips, and acted, all while continuing to direct, with seven feature films, among which De battre mon cœur s’est arrêté (2006, 8 César Awards, the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Film), Un Prophète (2009, Cannes Grand Prix, 9 César Awards, one BAFTA Award, and nominated at the Academy Awards and Golden Globes), De rouille et d’os (2012), starring Marion Cotillard. The Sisters Brothers is will be released in Romania on 45 screens in 26 cities starting on April 19th.
