American Independent Film Festival aims to educate the public, and build the taste for arthouse cinema, trying to offer the latest independent films selected in festivals such as Sundance, New York, Tribeca, Telluride, Toronto or Berlin, Venice, Cannes. Every year, the films attest the vitality of a cinema that is outside the Hollywood conventions. The films are joined by events, masterclasses, Q&amp;A, Open Talks, workshops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the past editions we had welcomed special guests in Bucharest \u2013 actors Joaquin Phoenix, John C. Reilly, Ethan Hawke, Sean Baker and Sebastian Stan, and directors Roberto Minervini and Jacques Audiard. The festival had also organized online discussions with one of the most prominent directors of recent American cinema (Barry Jenkins, Sean Baker, Kent Jones, Paul Schrader, Benh Zeitlin, Kitty Green).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>American Independent Film Festival<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> donates the organiser\u2019s proceeds from ticket sales to a humanitarian cause promoted through the festival.
