Alain Guiraudie

Scriptwriter and director Alain Guiraudie (aged 52) has authored five feature films so far and has been selected four times at Cannes. In 2001, Jean-Luc Godard called his medium length film Ce vieux rêve qui bouge (That Old Dream That Moves), screened in Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, ‘’the best film in Cannes’’. In 2009, he showed in the same section Le Roi de l’évasion (The King of Escape) and in 2003 won the Un Certain Regard Prize for Best Director for L’Inconnu du lac (Stranger by the Lake), presented at Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest by actor Christophe Paou. In Bucharest, Alain Guiraudie will talk to the audience and the press about his latest film.
