Sebastian Stan is the most notorious Romanian actor who managed to succeed in the American film industry. His charm and talent was remarked by important directors who offered him roles in Oscar productions. He acted alongside Matt Damon in „The Martian” (7 Oscar nominations), while in another awarded production, „Black Swan”, he joined a cast of famous actors – Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel. He also starred in Broadway musicals and in „Gossip Girl”, a most popular series among American teenagers. In the newest film of the „Captain America” trilogy, he has a leading part alongside Robert Downey Junior, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving and Samuel L. Jackson. The Romanian actor also received some Romanian lines in films.
Sebastian Stan was born on August 13, 1982, in Constanta, Romania. At eight, he moved with his mother to Vienna, he received his first role at ten, in the film „71 fragments of a Chronology of Chance” directed by notorious Austrian director, Michael Haneke. Two years later, his family moved across the Ocean to Rockland County, New York. Sebastian graduated Rutgers University in New Jersey and spent a year at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.
